The AVP needs volunteers

The AVP needs volunteers to shag balls and run the score keeper. See below for info and the AVP contact info.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the AVP Johnsonville Hot Winter Nights Tour. Enclosed you will find an application and all pertinent information regarding our volunteer program. Your involvement is integral to the success of the tournament, and we are counting on you to be there!

  • Volunteers need to be ages 12 and up.
  • Volunteers MUST commit to work for the full event.

· All volunteers receive an AVP t-shirt.

· It is preferred that volunteers wear black shorts/pants, however this is not mandatory. Also, since you may be working on the sand, wear comfortable shoes (or bare feet) so that you can move easily.

· Volunteers need to check-in at the back stage security desk inside the loading dock at the venue 1 hour prior to the start of the event. The security guard will have a list with your name on it so please bring ID if possible.

· Once inside the venue, AVP staff will take you to the dressing room where volunteers will receive their t-shirts and instructions.

Volunteer Positions

  1. Ball Shagger: Work directly with the professional athletes and AVP Officials to chase down the balls and hand them to the AVP players before each serve.

- Need 5-10 kids (ages 12-18) to shag balls - 5 will be used on the court for each match. If there are only 5 ball shaggers, they will shag for the entire time, approximately 3 hours. If you have a team that is interested, we can accept up to 10 kids and they can rotate.

  1. Score Keeper: Work directly with the AVP Officials to update the electronic score boards.

- Need 1-2 adults for this position.

Please fill out the following two pages and submit to one of the following by January 14:
